The quality of diamonds and the diamond certificate are determining the prices.
You will find diamonds in the same size in a range of different prices, depending of the quality of cut, carat, color, clarity and shape. Each natural diamond is absolutely unique!
Even within exactly the same carat weight and grading opinion of cut – color - clarity (indeed opinion, not a mathematical fact!) many other qualities will also differ and prices may differ.
Each natural diamond is unique, also is the pricing. Prices are a. o. based on Diamond Bourse daily exchange rates.
Asking for the price of a diamond is like asking for the price of a new and / or used car.

Some general advice:
Prices per carat "price steps" leads to some strange higher prices for extreme carat weights such as 0.99 Carat.
A 0.99 carat with excellent cut will cost as much as a one carat with a fair or good cut

Besides Ajediam official prices listed are average monthly wholesale,
these do not represent individual diamond price-of-the-day.
In other words: Ajediam pricelists do not represent the typical cheap
tricks, 'tourist trap' quality which may be offered online
or diamond offers with other than the genuine certificate (switched,
copied, faked etc.).
An individual diamond may be lower (or by exception higher) priced than
